  Congress Elementary School District, located in Congress, Arizona, serves about 125 elementary school students although the district covers approximately 1000 square miles. The community of Congress is located 17 miles northwest of Wickenburg and 13 miles southwest of Yarnell. It is a small community with between 1,800 to 2,000 residents. Historically, Congress was a mining town with surrounding cattle ranches. Today, there is a large retirement population. 

 
Congress School District has existed since the 1880s, but as the population diminished, the Congress School was closed in the 1968. The district became a transporting district only.  All students were transported to Wickenburg to attend school there.  In 2001, the Congress Elementary School District opened the Congress Elementary School which provides instruction for all K – 8th grade students.  High school students continue to be transported to Wickenburg to attend Wickenburg High School.
 
The Congress School Board, the administration and the staff wish to welcome you to the Congress educational community.  We with the Congress Elementary School District continually strive to reach excellence and attain our vision.  We care about students and their success.  Attaining our vision for every student requires the support and involvement of parents and community.  We invite you to become an active participant and supporter of the district and school. We feel strongly that every individual makes a difference and together we can make our students, our school, our district and our world a better place.
