March 2019

Dear Parents,

This year, the school theme is focused on Embracing Excellence through Critical Thinking. We have had many creative presentations by classes that explain differing aspects of critical thinking. During the month of February, the middle school students challenged other students to critically think about healthy eating, “Good Nutrition leads to a Healthy Heart”. The bulletin board outside the school library hosts some interesting challenges from our middle school students.

February has been another sensational month at Congress Elementary School. During the first week, the school hosted its annual STEAM Showcase Night. Then the following Thursday, Student Council hosted a Sports Spirit Day. The 14th marked the end of the Second Trimester and Parent-Teacher Conferences were held.

Thank you to the PACK for the fun float in the Gold Rush Parade! Also, for all their work on the DINO-MITE Scholastic Book Fair.

March promises to be another outstanding month. Our 4th-8th graders are busy practicing for the annual track meet. This will be held on Friday, March 22, at Wickenburg High School.
