Congress Elementary School is currently looking for an hourly IT Coordinator:

Reports to:           Principal/Superintendent

Work Schedule:    Hourly as Needed

Salary:                 Per Congress Elementary Salary Schedule for Classified Staff

Supervises:          None

Job Summary:    The IT Coordinator serves outside the classroom setting for assignments as determined by the needs of the district and specified by the Superintendent. Specific areas of assignment could include, but are not limited to, teacher support; student support; administration support, and/or technology development and support. The IT Coordinator is expected to demonstrate leadership in the organization and assist with school improvement efforts.

Essential Duties of the Position: This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary. Depending upon individual assignment, the employee may perform all or a combination of several of the following duties:

  • Maintains organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies.
  • Provides feedback and implements technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects.
  • Completes projects by coordinating resources and working with staff, students, and other stakeholders.
  • Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented.
  • Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.
  • Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional communities.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Marginal Duties of the Position: The IT Coordinator may perform some or all of the following tasks. Other duties may be assigned.

  • School Attendance Reporting
  • Public Records Requests

Requirements of the Position: The IT Coordinator is required to have the ability to: communicate clearly; operate office machinery (copy machine, computer, etc.); work under limited supervision; be attentive to detail; work as a team-player; work with a wide diversity of individuals; display courteous behavior; adapt to changing work priorities; maintain confidentiality; work with constant interruptions; problem solve and create action plans; and share insight and critique.
